Our Mission
Over the past 44 years, Meals On Wheels, which is a private, non-profit organization and receives no government funds, has served over 2,112,535 meals as of the fiscal year end of September 2025 and, this past fiscal year alone, has served 44,218 meals over 261 weekdays to those in need in Somerset County. We are currently serving the Somerset, Boswell, Jennerstown, Stoystown, Hooversville, Friedens, Acosta, Quecreek, Gray, Geiger, Listie, Jerome, Thomas Mills, Berlin, Roxbury, Davidsville, Seanor, Tire Hill, Hollsopple, Wilbur, Sipesville, Kantner, Brotherton, Edie, Jenners and Rockwood areas. For people in need of meals outside of the delivery area, frozen meals, as well as fresh meals, are available for pickup at our kitchen in the basement of the Calvary Church of Somerset. In addition, as always, Meals On Wheels is continuing to search for volunteers to make delivery possible to other communities where a dire need for the program exists. As you may already know, Meals On Wheels also provides puree meals to the sick, disabled and elderly as needed for the client's well-being.
